Hahaha!! I'm Loving...

Anna Sára Friewald's and Collette Von Tora's skeleton video.

Now you may be thinking, skeletons are morbid and maybe even a bit scary??

Wrong!

This short film proves that not everything to do with skeletons must be morbid!

Take a look!!

I'm Loving....

Fashion East Autumn/Winter 2010 collection

With a real Manga style theme to the styling for this collection, this Gothic wear could be worn in completely the wrong way, making it look tacky and well... pretty awful to be honest.

But I really think the styling they have used for the catwalk show works well and I am loving the brightly coloured painted legs and faces!

I also get a very Japanese Lolita style from some of these images too...

I think this collection really captures the very extreme side to my style, but believe me, it will be very doubtful you'll ever see me in something like this!!

Tell me what you think xx

This selection is only a tiny part of the full collection, there are actually some outfits featured that I really hate.... Take a look for yourself here.

One more thing, I don't think I'll be backing the John Lennon style specs.... hmmm...

I'm Loving....

BoobyTrapp Corsets

I can't believe it, but I've finally got myself a corset.
And, I didn't even pay for it!!
I have been waiting a LONG time to get my hands on my very own corset, and to my delight, this one is even being made especially for me!

A few weeks ago Booby Trapp Corsets posted a competition on facebook, to answer 3 simple questions about some of their merchandise. So, thinking nothing of it I entered, and a few days later heard that I had won a corset!!

Now I have NEVER won anything in my life, seriously, I can't think of ANYTHING!! So when I read this message I was absolutely shocked!!

Lorraine from Booby Trapp, has been very nice to me, very helpful and is even treating my prize as a personal project for a real paying client!!

I am soooooooo excited for this corset honestly, I cannot wait to teach my boyfriend how to lace me up properly!!!

For those unfortunate people who have yet to discover BoobyTrapp, or for those who entered the competion and weren't successful, get saving and check out their site!!

.......

Hello everyone!

I know I've been slacking on the blog posts again recently, I am very sorry, but the football seems to have taken over my life at the moment, whether I wanted it to or not!!

I've got some action shots of the lads playing footy (no not England!!), but I might not upload them as they're not exactly what I'm in too... Next week we're doing the fittings for the Vintage Fashion show at Circo in Liverpool, which I still have some tickets to sell for if you are interested!! So hopefully I'll be able to get some great behind the scenes shots from that!!

Other than that I'm afriad my life may be a bit borin at the moment, as I am concentrating on TRYING to get a job for summer, and learning to drive!! I had my first lesson in three years today and I'm proud to say it didn't go too badly at all!!

Keep checking back for more posts, I might give style.com a check up later, so maybe some more great collections!

Thanks to everyone who's following!!

Altuzarra Autumn/Winter 2010 Collection

Beautifully Gothic, Altuzarra's new collection is the epitome of alternative fashion today.

I absolutely love this dress. In fact, I want it. Realllllly badly. If only they'd make it in my size, and a lot cheaper!
When I see goths in the street, I really admire their courage for the way they dress, but seeing collections like this makes me wonder why?! Most Gothic fashion that is widely available, can be quite tacky and pretty awful to be honest, but Altuzarra prove that Goth can be done in a beautiful and elegant way.
If only all our rebellious gothic fashionistas were able to buy Altuzarra, maybe then they wouldn't be so socially unaccepted. Just a thought...

Chorlton Arts Festival

Eco Fashion Show

I should hopefully be recieving the remaining photos this week, but until then take a look at our review on the Manchester Fashion Network.

Work In Progress...

Ok I'm still working at it, need to set up my galleries, get all my photos together, and change the last few things, but I'd like opinions please!
Check It Out
Do you think it's professional enough?
As you can tell I used wix.com to make it, and they're taking a lot of the credit, which I suppose is fine for now...
Do I need to watermark my images??

APPARENTLY, you automatically get added to Google's search engine with wix... but... I've just googled myself and well, its not there.

Does anyone know anywhere I can get a great site? For Free?

Coming Soon...

I'm just setting up my own brand new website, with all my photography for all to see!
So keep tuned for the address!

Floral

I've been practising with the manual focus on my SLR, and decided the flowers in the back garden would be a perfect subject!

Cookies!!!

Ok, so my sweet tooth took over this weekend, and me and my partner decided to make cookies! Not just any cookies though... these cookies had Milkybar bars, M&M's, Milkyway Magic Stars AND Caramel Nibbles.

Absolute Heaven.

Liverpool Vintage Fashion Fair, 05/06/10

So the Liverpool Vintage Fair has been and gone, and it was a great day! Here are some of the fair highlights for all those that couldn't make it!
First of all, one of my personal favourites, was Sophie's Buttercup Bakery which satisfied my sweet tooth many times through out the day!
From cupcakes and brownies to large sponge cakes, Sophie's bakery is perfect, and as a big fan of cake, I suggest you try it! Check them out on Facebook here for more information.

Next up was the second confectionary stall at the fair which also did sandwiches and other tasty bits as well as cakes! The Italian Cake Shop is in Liverpool, but I've unfortuantely not got any other information about them, if you have please comment and share the wonder that is this shop! Everyone enjoyed the Coffee and walnut, cranberry or spiced pineapple sponge cakes, and I really enjoyed my chicken and bacon sandwich with it's perfectly blending italian herbs.

Next up, I had to look at the jewellery stores, and Queen of Accessories have some beautiful pieces that deserve a good home! Check them out here.

Bland, Made to measure vintage clothes are made completely of vintage fabrics, and as the name suggests, are completely made to measure, you can chose your style, your fabric and have it fit your shape perfectly!
Unfortunately again, I don't have any information on this brilliant store! But I THINK it may be on Bond st in Liverpool (just next to central station), so keep your eyes open!

Memoir are another vintage fashion store, which features some gorgeous glittery pieces that would be perfect teamed with a great hat, long socks and brogues!
You can find them on the 1st floor of Quiggins (Grand Central), in Liverpool.

Now, this next shop I fell in love with, and I am gutted I couldn't afford to buy anything! (Thats due to my own financial situation, definately not because they were over priced!) All handmade, Little Miss Delicious Jewellery features everything from ice creams, cookies and cupcakes to smiley pieces of toast and hearts, in ring form, necklaces, hair grips and earrings. Check them out here.
Lemon Flirt Jewellery are a fresh look at vintage, with pearls and classic pendants featured in a modern style.
Corazoncito Rojo is a Mexican influenced art and craft store, which features some lovely pieces, whether they are for gifts, for display or for use, this shop is great for little Mexican bits! Check them out on Facebook here.

OK so if you like broaches, and those little round things with a woman's head on (what are they called again?) then this next store, Hope and Winkle is for you! Of Course, they do more then just that!!

Passion Jewellery was another of my personal favourites, with gorgeous floral necklaces, feathered headbands, butterflies and pearl earrings, you can't go wrong in this store.

Little Red Vintage at 74 Bold Street, has some beautiful floral pieces amongst the few items I had chance to look at! If you like vintage, definately check them out, with a great selection scarves too, you'll definately find something you like!

Flashback Boutique was the main attraction of the fair, joined with the organisers, a £10 fill your bag offer went off with a bang, with people literally stuffing their bags with as much as possible!
On July the 1st Flashback Boutique and Boudoir Boutique are hosting a Vintage Fashion Show featuring all of their own garments at Circo, on the Albert Dock in Liverpool.
Open castings were at the show on saturday, we had 87 people trying out, and by the looks of it, we'll have a great looking bunch for the show!

If you missed out, where were you?!
I'm going to keep you all updated on future events around the north west, and will bring lots of photo's from the show in July too! Keep tuning in for more!

Just as a last note, I'm very sorry about the poor quality of some of the photos from the event, I didn't have a lot of time so each photo was quickly taken during a break!
